I am up early to attend the GNRHS Board Meeting from 8am to noon.



#1 & #2: GNRHS Managing Editor Ed Stankard gives his report to the Board.

Sunday afternoon saw the opening of "Railfair", our mostly-GN swap meet.



#1: Craig Neros has an eclectic assortment for sale; #2: So many things to buy....; #3: brass, brass and more brass; #4: John Langlot and Ed Stankard talk it over with Ernie about the upcoming 2016 GNRHS Spokane convention and "after-convention tour".

In another room was the model railroad contest.



#1: Overall view including heavyweight and streamlined Empire Builder consists; #2: beautiful model of the "bridge within a bridge" that spans the Columbia River at Rock Island, WA; #3: super-detailed A-B-A set of F units by Duane Buck; #4: Memorabilia from the GN days.

After getting our fill of Railfair, Jon and I were invited out to Lake Minnetonka for a ride on the 1906 steamboat, "Minnehaha" by Steve Eckman, our GNRHS Legal Counsel. Steve volunteers on Minnehaha and was operating the steam engine. When we arrived, Bill Sornsin was already there and joined us for the ride.
